Unlocking Change, One Property at a Time: Introducing Keys 4 Kindness

Real estate has always been about more than just buying and selling properties—it’s about building communities and making a meaningful impact. That’s why I’m so excited to be launching my Keys 4 Kindness initiative in 2025. Through my new initiative, I’m turning every transaction into an opportunity to give back to the community I’m so proud to call home. For each property I sell, I’ll donate 10% of my net wages to one of four incredible local charities on a rotating basis in 2025: The Shelters-Fredericton, Special Olympics New Brunswick, Liberty Lane, and Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary. These organizations play a vital role in strengthening our community, and I’m honored to support their work through this initiative.
The Impact of Each Charity
The Shelters-Fredericton
The Shelters provide vital support for individuals experiencing homelessness, offering not only a roof over their heads but also a chance to regain stability and dignity. Their work helps some of the most vulnerable members of our community find hope and a path forward.
Special Olympics New Brunswick
Special Olympics New Brunswick changes lives by providing athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and foster friendships through sport. Their programs celebrate inclusivity and enrich our community by empowering participants to achieve their full potential.
Liberty Lane
Liberty Lane offers a safe haven for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Their support extends beyond shelter by providing education, advocacy, and tools to help families rebuild their lives in safety and independence.
Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary
Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary rescues and cares for farmed animals in need, giving them a second chance at life. By promoting compassion and humane treatment of animals, they’re not just helping the animals themselves but also inspiring our community to care for all living beings.

Why I Created Keys 4 Kindness
I recognize that not everyone starts from the same place in life. We all face different challenges and are presented different opportunities. I know I’ve been presented with opportunities that others may not have had, just as others have had advantages I haven’t. But one thing I firmly believe is that real fulfillment doesn’t come from accumulating more things—it comes from community, connection, and lifting others up however we can. Helping and advocating for the most vulnerable in our society isn’t just an act of charity; it’s a responsibility and a key part of building a stronger, more compassionate community.
A society is often measured by how it treats its most vulnerable, and I want to be part of a culture that prioritizes care, fairness, and support. Right now, my focus is on growing my business to provide security for my family and to help others, all while strengthening the charity my spouse and I founded—a role that sees me wearing many hats, from board president to hands-on daily operations. While my time for volunteering is limited, I still want to make a meaningful impact. That’s why I created Keys 4 Kindness, a way to channel financial support to organizations doing essential, life-changing work. I truly believe that the mark we leave on the world isn’t measured by what we accumulate, but by the impact we have on others. As one of my favorite quotes says, ‘What we do for ourselves passes with us, but what you do for others lives on and becomes your legacy.’ My hope is that by supporting these organizations, I’m helping to break cycles of hardship, build stronger community connections, and ensure that New Brunswick is a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Why These Charities Matter to Me
This initiative is personal to me. These four charities represent causes close to my heart, and their work embodies the values of compassion, resilience, and community that I strive to uphold. Here’s why I chose each charity:
- The Shelters-Fredericton: While I have not personally experienced homelessness, I am close with people who have. Seeing their struggles firsthand has deepened my respect for the work being done by The Shelters-Fredericton. Their Continuum of Care model is especially impactful, as it adapts to the evolving challenges that individuals face on their journey out of homelessness. By focusing on personalized support rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, they help people regain stability and dignity in a way that truly lasts.
- Special Olympics New Brunswick: My brother has been heavily involved with Special Olympics for many years as an athlete, and I credit this organization with changing his life. Through sport and community, he found a confidence that he previously lacked. The friendships, skills, and sense of belonging he gained have had a lasting impact, and I am deeply grateful for the work Special Olympics New Brunswick does to empower athletes and foster inclusivity.
- Liberty Lane: When I was younger, I remember my parents receiving a call after midnight that a very close relative had fled her home with nothing but her children and their dog to escape domestic violence. I am so incredibly grateful that she had somewhere safe to go, and an organization to help her get back on her feet again. Liberty Lane provides that critical support for women and children facing similar situations, offering safety, resources, and a path forward. Their work is vital, and I am honored to support them through Keys 4 Kindness.
- Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, from family pets to childhood summers spent at zoo camp. Over the years, I volunteered with and fostered for dog rescues, but it was my spouse who opened my eyes to the reality that very few facilities exist to take in abandoned, abused, and neglected farm animals. With both of us sharing a strong compassion for animals and a drive to help the most vulnerable, it was a natural step for us to found and operate a registered charity dedicated to giving farmed animals a safe and loving home. Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary is a labor of love, and I’m proud to support its mission through Keys 4 Kindness.
These connections inspired me to create Keys 4 Kindness, using my real estate business as a way to contribute positively to the lives of others.
